Jago is a Tibetan warrior monk who calls upon the power of the tiger to discover his destiny. Originally, Jago was found as a baby, abandoned at a Himalayan monastery. He was taken in by the Monks of the Tiger and showed great promise from the start. Under the tutelage of the ancient Abbot, Jago swiftly became one of the Order's star pupils. During meditation he is visited by the very Tiger spirit his Order serves, which grants him great powers and chooses him to battle the sinister evil of Ultratech. At first the power threatens to overwhelm Jago's sanity, but he soon masters it and becomes the finest warrior the Order has yet fathered. The ever-present uncertainty as to his origins, however, still troubles him. At the end of the first Killer Instinct, Jago returns victorious to his shrine for communion with the tiger spirit. By defeating the evil that existed at UltraTech, Jago is brought one step closer towards total enlightenment. Granted new powers for his loyal service, Jago strives for self improvement. He must now seek out a greater challenge and fulfill his destiny.
Pretty muchevery fighting game series isn't complete without some sort of 'ninja'design. Visually, Jago doesn't look like the typical 'boring' ninjayou might expect from an early 90's fighting game. He also has a variety of coolspecial moves and a hard-hitting fighting style. Not only is he aninja, but Jago fights most similarly to Ryu & Ken out of all the charactersof KI. Even though some may call his fighting style a 'rip-off' ofthe shoto-style, StreetFighter players who enjoyed using Ryu & Ken could immediately find something to likeabout Jago when they first played Killer Instinct.... A smart design strategy by Rare. Ifyou ask me, I'd say Jago is one of the coolest fighting game ninjas around - atleast top 5! Jago's updated appearance in Killer Instinct2/Gold wasn't a disappointment either. His voice actor also added A LOT tothe character. At the end of the day, he's a mainstay of the series and one ofthe reasons Killer Instinct is awesome. Wooeeeeyaaaahhhh!!! (Full screen jumpspin kick!)

Story walkthroughNote: While you can do your Ultra combo against the computer AI while doing the story mode achievements, I'll be placing all the ultras together against a 2nd controller, as this is much easier to knock them out quickly.First, go into the options menu and change your difficulty to Very Easy. Start story mode with Spinal. When fighting each opponent, attempt to land an uppercut swing with his sword (hold or and hit ).
Limited Edition Shadow Jago. 9″ Electric Sound-link Jago. Temporarily we are not selling Killer Instinct toys at our own store, if you want to purchase the Killer Instinct toys, please see one of our partners above. Stay tuned for our store to open back up for future deals. (Note: the Killer Instinct guides are still being worked on, and a large portion of the moves have yet to be fully tested and or corrected, if you are a fan of Killer Instinct and would like to help us in any way with our guides, including input corrections, official move names, move formatting, elaboration on Supers, Transitions, etc. please.
This move will henceforth be referred to as Uppercut, regardless of any individual character's animation. For instance, Maya performs an upper-kick but the result is the same.Once the opponent is launched into the air, jump forward toward them and do a medium punch or kick ( or ) right as they make their grunt/groan sound, then immediately as you hit the ground do another Uppercut. You will usually connect the follow-up Uppercut right as they start to stand up, launching them into the air again.
Rinse and repeat until each opponent is dead.If you knock a character off of a stage, which is highly likely, especially on Kim Wu's stage (I knocked her off nearly every time through story), you'll unlock. 2 guidesIf you feel like you're about to lose a fight, hit 'start' (aka ) on controller 2 to join in with Player 2. Defeat Player 2 and let the continue countdown timer expire, then continue on fighting the computer on your main account. In this manner you can get the achievement for beating story mode without continuing. Although with setting the game to Very Easy, and if using the Uppercut method with Spinal and you shouldn't have any problems beating everyone without failing.
Even Gargos is a pushover with this strategy.Once you defeat Gargos you will unlock. 1 guideNext up, knock out each character's Ultra versus a 2nd controller. Of course while going through Story mode and getting your 40 wins with each character you can easily go for this, but it only takes a few minutes against a dummy controller and allows you to speed through story mode without worrying about it. Get player 2 down to flashing red on their 2nd health bar, then start a short combo and hit the following button sequences to initiate the ultra.
If a button is in parenthesis, such as ( ), it means to HOLD that button for a second before moving to the next input. All of the sequences below are based on being on the LEFT side of the screen. If you're attacking from the RIGHT side of the screen, you will need to reverse all the left/right inputs. So becomes, etc. Also, these are the DEFAULT controls. See hints/tips page for translation if you are not using default controls.
Finally, all of the inputs below for the D-pad can be done on the left thumbstick as well, so would be, etc. 2 guidesNext you'll want to run through story mode to the end with each character.
It doesn't matter if you get defeated and have to continue. You can use your 'best' characters if you want to run through until you get to Gargos, then die and switch characters to the appropriate one for an achievement. Keep in mind though that once you reach 40 wins with any given character, it is most efficient to use a different character that you haven't reached 40 wins with in order to climb up the ladder, then switch to one you need the Gargos defeat with at the end.Defeating Gargos with each of the other 9 base characters will unlock each of their Gargos defeat achievements, as well as the one for defeating him with everyone. While you are going through with Sabrewulf you can knock out another achievement.
Get the opponent down to flashing red on his/her 2nd health bar. At this point, as Sabrewulf, hold for 2 seconds then release it. A horde of bats will come out, and if it connects with the opponent they'll die instantly. Do this to all 10 opponents (not counting Gargos) to unlock. Finally, head to the story mode once more and while in the Character Select screen, hold. While holding this, press the following sequence:.
Gargos will appear as a selectable character. Choose him and go through story mode again. Once you defeat Gargos using Gargos, and having defeated him with all 10 other characters, you will have all the endings and victory animations unlocked. To get the achievement though, you have to view them all.
Rather than trying to track which you have seen already, just head to Extras from the main menu. Go to Cutscenes and begin watching them starting from the very bottom and work your way up. This is because the ones at the bottom are more likely the ones you have not already seen by now.
You do not have to watch them all the way through. Just launch one, then immediately hit to back out of it and launch the next. Rinse and repeat moving up the list until the achievement unlocks. 1 guideThe last thing you'll need to polish off is 400 continues. It is doubtful you have had to 'continue' after a defeat more than 20-40 times by now, so just go to the options and set the game to its highest difficulty setting.
Start story mode and let the first opponent beat you. Make sure you tap to 'continue' before the timer runs out, because if not it does not count as a 'continue', even when you restart story mode. What I did was just watch Netflix while absent-mindedly tapping. This will take several hours to finish.
